It's finally that time of the year where it's hot and beautiful in Montreal (although Grand Prix weekend almost had me take out my winter coat. But I'm way too stubborn for that! Won't do it!) I know that most of us have banned the words "fall" and "winter" from our vocabulary for the next couple of months, however the fashion industry is always one season ahead of us when designing new collections as they're constantly need to evolve, innovae and stay on top of trends. If you ask my opinion, I'm always excited to see what the future has in store for us when it comes to the intriguing and fascinating world of fashion (especially when it's a Montreal brand. I love our local designs)!
If there's one Montreal luxury brand for which I go completely coo-coo, it's Rudsak! This company has been around for over 20 years and strikes a perfect balance between contemporary, edgy and artistic. All of their clothes, shoes and accessories are made of leather, furs and other luxurious materials resulting in a high-end product. When I see a Rudsak piece, I immediately fall in love with it: The designs are unique and fashion-forward.
I was so excited to be a part of the crowd when they revealed their new Fall-Winter 2016 collection: Savage Spirit. This line was inspired by the era of Vikings and medieval warriors with the most lavish of materials such as leather, fur, suede, shearling, and many others. I have to say, the designers really out did themselves here! The collection has a primitive and animalistic air about it all while keeping a modern and trendy vibe. But enough talking, I won't make you wait any longer! Here's a little sneak peek of the collection:
Pop of colors
An emerging trend in the fashion industry (that is sure to get more and more popular as we get closer to fall) is adding a pop of color to your outfit through your accessories. Rudsak integrated this to its collection selecting a rich ruby red and a stunning lime green!
Pop of colors are great, but some prefer to keep their accessories subtle and have all the attention focused on their coat (or outfit). Don't worry, Rudsak hasn't forgotten you.
Of course we can't pass by shades such as black and chamel! They are a must for the cold seasons!
I'll end this article with a few of my favorite pieces which I got to try on (and dream of the day where I'll get to wear them again…they're so pretty)! You can also have a look at their cataogue by clicking here.
Which ones where your favorite pieces?
