If there's one thing I look forward to in wintertime isn't the cold, but being able to wear my fur headband that I bought in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) right by the Church of the Savior on Blood two years ago. Don't get me wrong, I also look forward to the first snow, Christmas and obviously the return of Starbucks' Caramel Brûlé Latte but still, it isn't quite the same. If you remember, I traveled to Europe for a mere 5 months by myself and visited 16 countries overall. During those incredible 5 months, I didn't buy any souvenirs (after an introspection, I believe my travel articles published on The Booklet have become, in a way, the best souvenirs I could ask for) and to have purchased this headband between wanting-to-fit-in-with-the-Russians, I-can't-leave-Russia-without-a-fur-hat and it'll-obviously-come-in-handy-in-Canada pre-requirements, this winter accessory has become one of my most prized possessions. The fact that I lost it twice ( I left it at my host's place in Amsterdam and flew to London, my CouchSurfing host was kind enough to have it shipped to my hotel. #BLESS), I was at last reunited with my beloved hat again which kinda helped with boosting the emotional price tag of the latter.
As for the clothes, if you know me you'd say my fashion style isn't too elaborate, but classy at most. Give me a cozy sweater and I could wear it for any occasion. Simple as that. Some would say nothing beats the Ol' Jeans/t-shirt combo… well that's true, however if you wish to opt for a dressier look, I'd say a skirt and sweater combo aren't quite far behind. Just add your favorite jewelry, a cute structured bag, a killer shade of lipstick, a headband that makes you feel like a Russian aristocrat and you're all set.
