It’s no secret if I told you Spring is perhaps the most bipolar month of the year. Just look at these past 3 days for example… how can one goes outside without looking at the weather forecast beforehand? Impossible or suicidal? Depending on the day, I’d say I’m a bit of both. However, I’ve always been fond of transitional seasons since I’m given the possibility, like any fashionistas who roam this earth, to explore and enjoy the wonders of the latest fashion trends. Needless to say, today’s outfit is rather a simple one, but oh so timeless in my book.
The base of a polished look starts with one key item : for some it could be bottoms (such as skirts, trousers or jeans for instance) while others would rather focus on one accessory or the upper part of the outfit. I’m more about layering as in transitional jackets. In order words, I can’t even count on two hands how many jackets are patiently hanging in my closet awaiting their rightful moment to be put under the spotlight when the time deems fit. It’s that bad. Therefore, whenever the wind calls for an extra layer before one leaves the house, I’m more than happy to build an outfit around my outerwear which today features my most beloved leather jacket from BCBGMAXAZRIA. From then on, I just added neutral colored pieces with a colourful and statement necklace, my favourite jewelry and a cute beanie to protect me from the rain. A no-brainer and yet, it looks effortlessly chic. Won’t you agree?
What’s your favourite transitional piece of clothing?
