Food

I have a bad habit: I don't make my lunch. My big problem is that I unfortunately don't eat home often. In between events, evenings where I dine out with my girlfriends and date nights, I don't spend that much time being home. It's obvious that whenever we make something for dinner, we can easily make extra so that we'll have enough for lunch the next day, but I can't say I'm there yet. I love cooking, however, since I usually eat alone at home, that extra motivation eludes me. I know I may not be the only soul out there who has that same bad habit of not bringing a lunch to work and in the end, the cost of always ordering something to go is astronomical. When you think about it, it'd cost you 10$, which is like a thousand bucks in the year end. This year, I truly wish to start making a lunch and even if I missed out on the occasion a few times, I firmly believe I've done well so far. We are now working in collaboration with  Boulangerie St-Méthode, who offers all kinds of sliced breads, 100% made in Quebec in their factory located at St-Méthode and Magog. By the way, they also offer gluten-free bread, which is perfect for those who are intolerant to regular bread. With my coworkers, we planned a sandwich-lunch in order to test 5 different St-Méthode products according to our personal taste. Here's the aftermath of our sandwich bar by giving you our best picks.

Viv's sandwich

Here's my winning combination, which I grilled in a panini machine because in truth, a hot sandwich tastes better:

– 2 slices of Grand-Père style oat bread from Récole St-Méthode

– Cheddar cheese (because you know, it's delicious)

– Tomato slices

– Avocado slices

– Cooked ham

– Salami

– Mayo

I mean, you won't be hungry after eating this!
