About 3 weeks ago, Montreal hosted the famous Sainte-Justine’s Ball. Back in the day, it was formerly known at Mont-Royal’s Ball, does it ring a bell?

Each year, I partake to the festivities and each year I’m always impressed by the quality of how this ball is put together since throughout the years, the latter has become a must in Montreal’s nightlife scene. However, we can’t talk about Sainte-Justine’s Ball as only being a party, since perhaps it is indeed one, but it’s all for a great cause that everyone has gathered under one roof and that is for CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation and children in need. In other words, it’s a grown up ball for the children. This year, for their 16th edition, we were able to raise over 280 000 dollars that will directly go to CHU Sainte-Justine Centre of Excellence in Neonatal Intensive Care.

What I love about this type of event is how  it brings together a large number of people with a common objective. Moreover, I understand for some young professionals (I know it’s relative, but when one starts a business or a career, it can be harder), wanting to support the cause and being there financially can be two things, but in the end, this is a great way to mix charity and a fun night out by dressing up to the nines.

Speaking of dressing up, I found my dress at Très Chic Styling located on Laurier Street. Angelica usually shows me dark blue dresses anytime I have a special occasion, that visit wasn’t an exception. I had two favourite ones; a voluminous dress that reminded me of a princess gown but my heart settled for a more minimalist cut made by Fascara, Canadian brand also loved by Sophie Grégoire, the spouse of the prime minister of Canada, if it can tell you that much! If you saw Camille’s latest article, you should know that off-the-shoulder dresses are back this summer! No question regarding the reason why I fell in love with it, without forgetting to mention the neckline that captivates one’s attention. When you’re sick and tired of the little black dress, this was a great option hands down!

As for the festivities itself, the event took place at Salon 1861 which is located inside an old church. I loved the DJs who were place at the church’s pulpit… pretty uncommon which made the whole setting even cooler.
