This Friday on March 24th, the Sainte-Justine's Ball will take place at Le Salon 1811. As an ambassador, I cannot wait to attend this amazing venue once again.
An event such as Sainte-Justine's Balls is more than just a party, it feels like you're living a Gossip Girl moment where everyone is dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate as soon as they walk in. This ball is the occasion to give back in order to save lives of sick children. Just by buying your ticket, you're contributing to the cause.
Each year I have the great pleasure of attending the event that allows to raise a huge sum in order to help children in need, yet I never forget the reason why I participate to the cause for now more than two years. I know that young professionals don't always have the funds to attend an event such as this one (perhaps not at this moment) or maybe some have some financial difficulties to support causes that are close to their hearts. To do so via a ball is a way to attract the young generation and it's all for the best. This year, Sainte-Justine's Ball wishes to raise over 250 000$ that will directly go to CHU Sainte-Justine's Foundation. Last year we were able to raise 210 000$ where 1000 guests were partaking to the festivities. Tickets for the cocktail party are unfortunately sold out. However, you still have the chance to attend the ball at a cost of 160$. But buy your tickets now before they're sold out !!! If you already have… I hope to see you all there.
In order to feel inspired, I decided to show you an outfit that requires confidence, yet will instantly make some heads turn: why not wear a one-piece? I found this one at C'Glam boutique located on the South Shore of Montreal at Quartier Dix30. I love the idea behind wearing this type of garment since the trousers make the latter comfortable and you'll be able move easily on the dance floor. I've always admired women who'd wear unusual pieces during a formal event or on the red carpet: those who'd show up in a masculine suit or even a one-piece always kill it. And don't tell me the latter isn't as feminine as a dress: the fabric of today's featured item is slightly sparkly and I love the plunging neckline and the spaghetti straps. MAJOR CRUSH! Moreover the latter only costs 50$!!! In fact, this piece of clothing is actually from the boutique's private label. Indeed, for a few years now, the owner, Catherine, started offering to her clientele trendy creations at a fair price. In order to dress it up, I added a statement necklace that will be a show stopper! See you Friday?
