Once your big day has arrived, you'll be the one under the spotlight. Here are a few tips to ensure you'll be on your A game for your wedding pictures.
Hydration. This shouldn't come as a surprise, I mean we can't stress this enough, you need to stay hydrated so that your skin will glow. Another important tip is to also have your lips hydrated. You know, you don't want them to hurt and chap either, that would be uncomfortable. I mean if that happens during a regular day at the office, that isn't the end of the world, but on your wedding day, you don't want this to happen. Ensure to stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water during the previous weeks before your big day. Keep a moisturizing lip balm in your purse, it won't take too much space and it is indeed a real life savor.
Another tip, easier said than done. Don't think too much about the cameras, stay natural, relax. It's a reflex as soon as we see a camera locked on us, we ABSOLUTELY want to feel perfect. More so on your wedding day. Try to ignore that fact even if you're the one everybody is looking at, act like a diva and as if there were no cameras in sight. Your pictures will also look better and more natural as well.
Be comfortable in what you're wearing. It's no secret here either, whenever you wear something that is comfortable, we can instantly see it by looking at your posture. If your dress isn't comfortable, you're not fooling anyone if you're playing it cool… your expression will betray you. That say, when you're going dress shopping, ensure to feel at eased in the latter. I don't want to hear -this dress is killing me, it's itching, but oh well that won't the end of the world. YES IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD, you'll feel uncomfortable and you'll think about it all night long and that will show on your pictures too.
Live in the moment, enjoy what is surrounding you, take the time to savor each moments and don't stop to be amazed. This day will go so fast you won't even realize it until it's over. With that mindset, this will reflect on your pictures and they'll be able to capture an unique and memorable moment. You'll be breathtaking and glowing on your pictures. If you're following the camera, that'll distract you from the festivities. You'll unconsciously try to pose for the camera, so ensure your best profile is by just acting natural.
Don't try to pose too hard. Even if you're the covergirl of the next VOGUE, your photographer will still give you the same speech I'm giving you. Stay true to yourself and enjoy your day.
