Summer has begun, although it’s been a bit of a tease. Regardless, I’m getting ready for the eventual heatwaves. I recently wrote an article about this season’s swimsuit trends; you can read it HERE, if you’re interested. Today, I’d like to share a few swimsuit options with you that have nothing in common other than the fact that I think they’re gorgeous. Happy shopping!

1- The Qui Hook Top and the Tiguidou Bottom in Magic Rocks by Othersea Bikini
I recently discovered this brand which offers exclusively hand-crafted products made right here in Québec. By the by, I love the whimsical names they give to each item. Just goes to show that the owners of Othersea Bikini don’t take themselves too seriously and that’s a beautiful thing. I adore this reversible pebble print and, of course, the fact that it’s made here.
2- The Rockie One-Piece in Dusty Pink by June Swimwear
In staying with Québec brands, here’s a one-piece swimsuit by June Swimwear; a company well known for its bootykinis (swimsuits that bare a fair share of bumbum). I love its colour, the way it sparkles, and the criss-cross straps at the back; to say nothing of the confidence of a wearer’s dare to bare!
3- The Positano Plunge One-Piece by Red Carter
Every year, Red Carter impresses me with its rather unique swimsuit styles featuring unusual straps, cutouts, and so on. I love this model’s colourful floral print that’s both sexy and feminine.
4- The Summer Glow Crochet High Neck Bikini Top by Quintsoul
I just have to mention this bikini top by Quintsoul. It combines two of this year’s hottest swimwear trends: crocheted detailing and a high neckline. Several coordinating bottoms are available in the same print, along with a one-piece that I own and love that has a little crocheted detailing! Quintsoul is yet another local brand!
5- A Blue Floral One-Piece by Mimi & August
This floral print is just oh so “Mimi”! I love the lace inserts and the adjustable straps that criss-cross at the back! Obviously, this is another local brand.
6- The Bandeau Bikini Top by La vie en rose
I know… I featured the one-piece version of this model in my previous article. I’m just really (really) obsessed with this year’s off-the-shoulders fashion trend. It’s so gorgeous. I really like this shade of coral. I prefer to wear as little black as possible when I’m at the beach!
7- This One-Piece Swimsuit by O’Neill, available at Bikini Village
When seen from the back, this swimsuit looks like a bikini but it’s in fact a one-piece that has a bit of gathering at the bustline and comes in an eye-catching print. I especially like the yellow crocheted finishes and back cut-outs.
8- The Vertigo Print by Skye Swimwear
Prior to my recent vacation, I was offered 3 bikinis of my choice by Skye Swimwear. I instantly fell in love with the Vertigo print featured in several different styles. I chose the Katie top, with its non-slip bralette-like fit and vibrant colours (the beach isn’t a funeral home, after all). I really like how the angled stripes give the illusion of a triangular motif. Worth noting: the company offers a vast number of superb styles in plus sizes under the Skye+ name. Take a look HERE!
9- The Long Sleeve Lycra Swimsuit by Makara Swimwear
Ideal for active people who want to minimize the risk of sunburn when spending long hours surfing or paddleboarding. These swimsuits are ideal for Summers in Québec which can sometimes get a little chilly. I love this style in particular with its red and white stripes!
10- The Plunging One-Piece Swimsuit by Forever 21
I adore the plunging neckline and low back of this swimsuit for those poolside days when you want to look like a Diva. Available in two other colours (grey and berry). It’s also a great bargain at $33.
